Jayne Frances Shea NEE McLaughlin, 92, of Secane passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024.
Jayne, the daughter of the late Francis and Jane McLaughlin, was born in Philadelphia and lived most of her life in Delaware County (Aldan & Secane). She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA Class of 1950.
Jayne was a parishioner at St. Eugene Catholic Church after she married in 1961. She enjoyed spending her summers at Primos-Secane Swim club with her family. Jayne loved watching her children and grandchildren participate in any activity whether it was swimming, baseball or marching band. She was proud of being a volunteer for many organizations, most of all the UD Gifted Program and the St Eugene’s CCD classes, as well as working the polls on election day. She was an active member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Jayne was an avid Philadelphia sports fan cheering on the Phillies and Eagles anytime the game was on TV.
Beloved wife of the late James Shea; Loving Mother to Jayne (Mark) Chilutti, Theresa (Joe) Baumgart, Jim (Michele) and Maureen (Dan) Tonetta; Cherished Grandmother to 8 Grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Monday, May 20 at 10am and her Funeral Service at 11am at St. Eugene Catholic Church in Primos PA. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery
