Jane (Gillin) Carroll Nelson, 79, of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on January 25, 2025.
Jane was raised along with her five brothers in Southwest Philadelphia and graduated from John Bartram High School. She married her late husband, Paul Carroll, with whom she was a devoted wife for many loving years. Her years together with Paul raising their children Paul and Jenni were among her fondest and proudest moments.
She met her second husband, Jim Nelson, at Burrs on the Beach. They shared many wonderful years together travelling, cruising and enjoying their beach home in Carolina Beach, NC. They later settled down in Lewes, DE.
Jane loved nothing more than sitting around the round table, laughing with friends and family, listening to her favorite music. She looked forward most to visits from her children and grandchildren. She had an infectious personality and laugh that could light up any room. One that will be remembered by all that loved her.
Beloved wife of James Nelson and the late Paul Carroll; Loving Mother of Paul Carroll, Jr. and Jenni (Gavin) Goane; Cherished Grammy to Blake, Grayson and Liam; Loving sister of James (Kathy) Gillin and George (Joy) Gillin.
