James Martin Thompson

James Martin Thompson, 77, of Linfield, PA, passed away on September 3, 2023 in Linfield, PA. He was born on December 3, 1945 in Scranton, PA to the late James M. Thompson and Mary (Moyles) Thompson.

James is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Thompson, his daughter Kathleen Tilley, his son Sean Thompson and his wife Kara Thompson, his grandchildren Olivia Thompson, Jack Thompson, and Ryan Thompson, his sisters Judith Thompson and Mary Zavada, and multiple nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by Jan Tilley, Joseph Zavada and Susan Carey.

James attended St Mary of Mount Carmel School in Dunmore, PA for his primary education, followed by St Paul's High School in Scranton, PA for his high school education. He furthered his education at Gwynedd Mercy University in Gwynedd Valley, PA.

From 1964 to 1970, James proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a dedicated and committed member of the military.

After his military service, James attained his Project Management Professional certification and enjoyed a successful career as a Master Planner/Scheduler in the Program Management Office at Lockheed Martin Corporation.

James enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, especially his  grandchildren. He found joy in exploring new places and creating lasting memories with his loved ones.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Thursday, September 7 ,2023 9:30am St Teresa of Calcutta Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473 and to his Funeral Mass 11am in the Church. Burial private.

James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
