James E. Nolan

James E. Nolan (Jim), of Media, PA (formerly of Springfield, PA) passed away peacefully on April 18th, 2026.

Jim was the son of the late John E. Nolan and Elizabeth Nolan (Powers) and was the beloved husband for 47 years to the late Barbara Ann Nolan (McBride); he was the loving father to John Nolan (Karen), Mary Nolan Deppen (Brian, deceased) and Jim Nolan (Wendy); and the cherished grandfather to Brendan and Andrew Deppen (Mary and Brian), Aidan Nolan (John and Karen), and Abbey and Brynn Nolan (Jim and Wendy).  He is predeceased by his sisters Nancy Clancy (Bill) and Patricia Sherm.  He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and more.

Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA, attended Most Blessed Sacrament (MBS) Church and School, and graduated from West Catholic High School and Villanova University.  After raising their children in Plymouth Township, PA, and Jim’s retirement from a career in accounting, Jim and Barbara moved to Delaware County, PA to be closer to their family. Jim most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 5 grandchildren. Other cherished pastimes included playing in the Golf View bocce ball league, catching up with friends, old and new, from West Catholic, Sears Roebuck and Co, Golf View Estates, and Granite Farms Estates, and of course cheering on the Phillies.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 24th at O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064, followed by Services at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
