Jack Walter Sweeney

Sweet baby Jack Walter Sweeney was born asleep on November 3, 2020 at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Beloved son of Jessica Carey and Jason Sweeney, adored baby brother of Jason John (“JJ”) Sweeney, precious grandson of Walter and Mary Louise Carey (née Forrest), nephew of Lisa and Michael Barycki Jr, Jill Carey, John and Jeannine Gray, Jennifer Patton and Matthew Patton. Cousin of Gavin, Khloe, Michael, Adam and Lily. Also survived by many great aunts, uncles, and extended family.

Predeceased by Paternal grandparents John Sweeney and Karen Patton God felt Jack was too precious for Earth and decided to call him home.

Jack earned his angel wings just minutes before coming into our world. We take comfort in knowing that Jack was kept safe by his mother for 36 precious weeks and is free of pain and original sin in the arms of Jesus.

Jacks persistent fight to be here truly touched our lives. He was our constant reminder to appreciate the gift of life, to take time to enjoy life’s simplicity, and to treasure those we love because time is precious and short. We may have only held him in our arms for a short time but we will hold him in our hearts forever!
