Helen M. Lyons

Helen M. Lyons, formerly of Clifton Heights, PA, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2022.

Helen was born in Philadelphia on July 23, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Thomas J. Lyons and Bridget (nee McCann). She graduated from West Catholic Girls High School and earned an Associate Degree in accounting from St. Joseph University.

Helen was an employee of Independence Blue Cross for over forty years. She began working in the mailroom upon completing High School and advanced to the bookkeeping department upon completion of her Associate Degree. Helen received numerous promotions in the accounting department throughout her professional career. 

She was a member of Holy Cross Parish. She also enjoyed traveling, taking trips to Mexico, Spain and Ireland.

Helen is survived by her sisters, Mary J. DeGothseir (William E.) and Patricia Ann Lyons. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her brothers, the late Thomas J. Lyons (the late Grace) and the late Martin K Lyons (the late Susan).

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Tuesday, April 19, 2022 9:00am Little Flower Manor, 1201 Springfield Rd. Darby, PA 19023 and to her Funeral Mass 10:00am in the Chapel. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
