Grace K. Stanley, 80, of Aston passed away peacefully on September 8,2024.
Grace was the daughter of Louis and Doris Barrick and was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 28, 1944. She graduated from Interboro High School in 1962.
Beloved wife of David H. Stanley Sr. (59 years of marriage).; lovingly raised 16 children, Tim, Ruth, David Jr., Kim, Joy, Christopher, Baby Beloved, Christina, Nicole, Kay, Katie Ann, Lang, Jackie, Shelby, Rebekah, Virginia, and cared for an additional 20 special needs foster children; Cherished Grandmother to 15 Grandchildren and Great Grandmother to 12 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Louis and Doris Barrick, her sister Joyce Eckardt and her children David Jr., Baby Beloved, Christina, Katie Ann, Jackie, Shelby.
Grace was a devoted woman of faith, with a deep love for God that she expressed through her active involvement in her church community; she was a member of Covenant Fellowship Church. Her unwavering faith is the greatest gift and legacy she has passed on to her children. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, afterschool Bible clubs, and Backyard Bible clubs, sharing her passion and wisdom with others. Alongside her husband, she led youth groups as well as college and career groups, impacting countless lives. Grace had a creative spirit, finding joy in crafting, sewing, and appreciating the beauty of God’s creation. She was known for her warm hospitality, often sharing her delicious baked goods with family and friends. She had a special love for children, always enjoying time spent with them, and took great pleasure in organizing family events and playing board games with loved ones. With her generous heart, kind spirit, and calming presence, she had a way of making everyone around her feel cared for.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 3:00pm Covenant Fellowship Church 1 Fellowship Dr, Glen Mills, PA 19342. There will be a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Grace’s life with her family and friends.
