Geri was the daughter of the late William B and Rita (Green) Mclaughlin. She was born in Darby, Pa. She graduated from Archbishop Prendergast class of ’68, Camillus LPN school in ’69, and then earned her associate degree in nursing from Delaware County Community College in 1973.
Geri was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Morton, Pa. She enjoyed spending summers at her beach house in Sea Isle City, NJ sipping ‘adult beverages’ with family and friends. She enjoyed visiting her countless relatives in Ireland and found particular delight in being a fanatical Irish Step Dancing mom to her daughter Bridget. She loved watching her son Sean play football and her son Mark run track at Cardinal O’Hara. Geri spent over 30 years as a RN in Geriatrics with long stints at Manor Care in Yeadon, Pa and Riddle Village in Media, Pa. She worked as an RNAC at both facilities. She really enjoyed the camaraderie of her many coworkers and loved mentoring and teaching newer healthcare professionals. Geri’s famous quote regarding healthcare was “it is a crapshoot wherever you go”.
Beloved wife of 45 years to John “Jack”; Loving Mother to Mark (Larissa), Sean (Alisha) and Bridget; Cherished Grandmother to Ryley, Michael, Liam and Daniel. Also survived by her identical twin sister Rita Clark (Bill), with whom she had an inseparable lifelong bond highlighted by the pairs contagious laughter, and her brother William (Kathy) as well as 14 nieces and nephews.
