Geraldine M. (O’Connor) Coyle passed away on July 19th, 2020, at the Broomall Center where she resided. Born in Philadelphia on August 20, 1930, to the late John and Margaret (Dougherty) O’Connor, Gerry graduated from St. Anthony’s School and Hallahan Catholic High School.
In 1952, she married James David Coyle of Philadelphia, her husband of 25 years before his sudden death. She raised her family in Glenolden and was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Mrs. Coyle retired from Villanova University, where she worked in the Commerce, Finance, and Business Law Department. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Gerry is survived by her children, John Jude (wife, Karen] Coyle, Joseph Patrick (wife, Karen) Coyle, and Geraldine (Coyle) Anderson (husband, Robert) Manturuk. She was predeceased by her son, James Joseph (wife, Kathleen) Coyle and her son-in-law, Gerald H. Anderson, Esq. She is also survived by grandchildren, Shane, Caitlin, Conor, Tara, Kimberly, Meghan, Joseph, Ryan Coyle and Christine Manturuk.
Because of the Coronavirus restrictions, the funeral Mass at Fatima and burial at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery will be private for the immediate family only.
