Geraldine A. "Gerry" (Updyke) Canterino

Geraldine A. "Gerry" (Updyke) Canterino, 74, of Drexel Hill, PA passed away July 24, 2020 peacefully with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Bauhaus) Updyke. Gerry was the loving wife of the late Joseph R. Canterino; devoted mother of John (Trish), Patricia A. (Renee), James (Lisa) and Joseph (Audrey); cherished grandmom of Olivia, Nicholas, Christopher, Lexie, Joseph, Jason, Jessica and Sophia. Sister of Janet (Fred) Doherty and the late James Updyke.

Gerry grew up in Upper Darby and was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School.  Gerry was a stay at home mom and volunteered at St. Dorothy School for many years.  As the kids got older Gerry went to help at the family owned business, C&C Produce. The last two decades, she enjoyed working at Holy Cross Church.  

Gerry was an avid fan of NCIS and a devoted QVC shopper.  However, first and foremost Gerry was a dedicated mother and grandmother.  She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.  

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Thursday July 30, 2020, 9:15am St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Rd. Drexel Hill, PA 19026 and to her Funeral Mass, Thursday 10:30am in the Church. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.  The Mass will be live streamed through St Dorothy's website https://www.stdotsdrexelhill.org/ at 10:30am Thursday
