Genevieve K. (Pyle) Leschinsky

Genevieve K. Leschinsky passed away November 26, 2024 at the age of 79. She was the daughter of the late James and Kathryn (Evans) Pyle. Stepdaughter of the late Inez Pyle.

Genny was born in Southwest Philadelphia and lived on Catherine Street until the family moved to North Llanwellyn Ave in Glenolden in 1960. She attended West Catholic Elementary School and Transfiguration High School. She also attended the Sisters of Saint Francis Convent as Sr. Maris.

Genny worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone and was a secretary for the county courthouse in West Point, California.

Genny was a caring and loving mother who loved spending time outside among the trees in the foothills of California with her husband and son. She loved everything about nature. She especially loved tending to her donkey, goat and the family dogs and cat!

Genny was an artist and painting was her passion. She painted everything from rocks and shells, to clothing and framed pictures. She also loved crafting and stitchery. Most of her work was centered around trees and nature scenes. Genny was an avid reader and enjoyed doing puzzles as well.

Genny was a devout Christian and lived her faith. She gave generously to non- profit organizations and included Jesus into every conversation. She prayed throughout every day and dedicated her life to serving God.

Genny loved taking trips in their RV with her husband and son and seeing all that nature had to offer. She marveled at the vibrant colors in God’s handiwork from the simple rocks and insects to the grand vistas of the mountains and countryside. She will be dearly missed and remembered by the family and friends who loved her.

Genny was the devoted mother of Glen Leschinsky. Cherished sister of Loretta Whomsley Jones (Ron) and Beth Schwartz, Jim (Chris) Pyle, Mary Lou (Phil) Saxton, and the late Kathleen Giancamillo. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Monday, December 2, 2024 10:00AM O'Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 and to her Funeral Service 11:00AM in the Funeral Home. Int. Holy Cross Cemetery.
