Genevieve A. (Schmidt) Duffy

Genevieve A. (Schmidt) Duffy, 87 of Westbrook Park, Upper Darby PA passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025. She was the daughter of the late John and Anna Schmidt of Juniata Park Philadelphia, PA and was born in Philadelphia, PA.

Genevieve was in the Convent at a young age, moved on to study to become a nurse, finally found her calling as a Homemaker. Genevieve also worked as an Aide at Westbrook Park Elementary for many years. She loved taking care of her elderly family members in need of assistance. Genevieve loved gong to the Jersey shore with her family and also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of the late William Duffy; Devoted mother of Bill Duffy, James Duffy and Maryann Duffy Maloney (Will Maloney); Cherished grandmother of Ian Maloney, Hannah Maloney and Madison Maloney. She is also survived by her brother Jack Schmidt and predeceased by her sister Maryann Schmidt. Genevieve was the Matriarch to many Nieces and Nephews and Cousins of The Kummer Family.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Wednesday, May 7, 2025, 9:30am Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd Springfield, PA 19064 and to her Funeral Mass 11am in the Church. Int. Private.
