Gail L. Glancey, 81, of Springfield, PA, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024.
Gail graduated from Conestoga High School and West Chester University where she earned both Bachelor and Master of Education degrees. Gail worked for 30+ years as a Reading Specialist in several schools within the Upper Darby school district until she retired in 2003. She was a loving friend to many, and enjoyed her book clubs and her many trips with friends to see musicals and plays at the Walnut Street Theater. Gail loved Penn State tailgates and football and was a season ticket holder for many years. Most of all, Gail loved her family and spending time with family and friends in Ocean City, New Jersey. She was never happier than being surrounded by her grandchildren while reading or watching tennis at the beach!
She was pre-deceased by her parents G. Clair and Martha (nee Acker) Hershey, her loving husband, John J. Glancey, her beloved daughter Kristina Hitchens (Daniel) and her loving brother Robert Hershey.
Gail is survived by her son John J. (Kathleen) Glancey, Jr, her grandchildren Kimberlee Hitchens, Sarah and Carlin Glancey, her sisters-in-law, nieces, nephew and more.
