Eleanor Elizabeth Oakes Frugoli (Gram, Aunt Sis, Sissy), ages 96 of Aston, Pennsylvania went home to be with the Lord and passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 15, 2020.
Eleanor was born in Philadelphia on October 4, 1923. She married her high school sweetheart , Louis A. Frugoli on November 14, 1942. They were married for 35 years.
Eleanor enjoyed reading, sewing, folding the laundry, and taking rides in the car. Some of her favorite things were Marigolds, black jelly beans, Glenn Miller, Carey Grant, Wheel of Fortune, the color green, Word Searches, all of the many family cats and dogs she had through the years, and her family. She was everyone’s “Gram”. Any of her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s friends knew her by this endearing term.
She lived a quiet, humble and peaceful life and she will be missed by many.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen E. Wilson ( Frugoli) and her Son-in-Law, Albert Wilson. Her sister, Carol Martin (Oakes). Her grandchildren, Kathleen E. Bidoli-Keen ( Dougherty), Theresa D. Dougherty, Denise M. Biancaniello ( Dougherty) and Louis F. Dougherty, Megan K. Wilson and step-grandsons Albert Wilson and Shawn Wilson. She is also survived by 8 great-granchildren, Michael L. Bidoli, Matthew G. Bidoli, Nicolas A. Bidoli, Gianna M. Biancaniello, Jeffrey J. Biancaniello, Luke A. Biancaniello, Joshua G. Dougherty and Kira D. Dougherty.
Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Frugoli, her grandson, Daniel J. Wilson, her parents, Caroline Oakes ( Frisby) and James Augustine Oakes. Her sisters, Loretta Capoferri ( Oakes), Dolores Girvin ( Oakes), Rose Mary Dreeman (Oakes) and her brother James Augustine Oakes Jr.
The Funeral Service and Burial will be held at the burial site of SS. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery for Immediate Family only due to restrictions from the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
