Elaine Lois (Unterkofler) O'Hara

Elaine Lois O’Hara (nee Unterkofler), 88, of Broomall, Pa passed away at her home on February 12, 2021 after a 7 year battle with cancer, one that she fought with grace and dignity.  

Elaine was the daughter of the late Edna Laudeman and Gustav Unterkofler of Philadelphia, PA.  She graduated from Bartram High School in 1950.  She was a member of St. Anastasia Church in Newtown Square.  Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her great joy and a smile to her face.  Throughout her life, her faith was a constant source of comfort and strength.  Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family, completing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.   

Beloved wife of the late Joseph B. O’Hara; Loving mother to Joseph O’Hara, Jr. (Linda), Carolyn Giacomucci (Joseph), Laura Murray (Jack), Catherine Twardy (George), Nannette Fridley (Bud); Cherished Grandmother to Ryan Murray (Rula), Kelly Giacomucci, Matthew Giacomucci (Laura), Nicole Murray Cohen (Jerard), Meagan Twardy, George Twardy, Paige and Abbey Fridley; Great Grandmother to Alice E. Hazel, Maxwell Murray and Parker Cohen. She is also  survived by her sister Paula Ganley (David).  She is predeceased by her brothers, Gustav Joseph Unterkofler, Wayne Joseph Unterkofler and her sister Barbara D’Orazio.   She is  survived by many loving nieces and nephews.   

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30.  Interment will be private.
