Eileen J. (O'Brien) Gillin

Eileen J. (O'Brien) Gillin, 61, of Folcroft, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025.

Eileen was the daughter of the late James O’Brien and Geraldine (Caretta) Costello, and stepdaughter of the late Louis Costello and Gerry O’Brien. She was born in Darby, PA, and graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School.

Eileen had a deep love for the outdoors and spent much of her time sailing, fishing, and riding horses. She also found joy in cooking for family and friends. She cherished spending time with her loved ones.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Gillin, who passed in 2007, and loving partner to her second husband, Stephen Fries. Devoted mother of Thomas Gillin. She is also survived by her brothers, Michael O’Brien and James O’Brien.
Eileen is predeceased by her parents and step son. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd, Springfield, PA 19064, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
