Eileen Regina Collins of Havertown, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
Eileen was the daughter of the late John “Jack” Joseph McCarthy and Janet Teresa (nee Bevenour) McCarthy and was born in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Prendergast Catholic High School in 1976 and was a member of St. Eugene’s Parish in Secane, PA. She enjoyed animals, crocheting, card games and Yahtzee, and loved playing volleyball and swimming at the Knights of Columbus in Springfield especially in her younger years. She always enjoyed assisting with our annual Christmas basket distribution in honor of Dad.
Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Edward Collins; devoted mother of Ryan Byrne, and cherished grandmother of granddaughter Lilly and grandson Noah. Loving sister of siblings: Michael McCarthy (Denise), Margaret McCarthy (Chrissy McDonald), Kathleen Theurer (the late William), James McCarthy (Andrea), John McCarthy (Leanne), Joseph McCarthy (Stacey), Mark McCarthy (Denise). She had many nieces and nephews: Meghan Hendrickson(Kyle), Moira Jackson (Joel), Christopher Theurer, Matthew Theurer (Victoria Marino), Catherine McCarthy, Eliza Jane McCarthy, Darla McCarthy, John McCarthy, Erin McCarthy (Kevin Cassel), Ryan McCarthy, Grace McCarthy, Connor McCarthy, Sydney McCarthy, Brooke McCarthy, Andrew McCarthy, Avery McCarthy, Lyla Hendrickson, Liam Hendrickson, Ariella Theurer, Colton Cassel, Riley Cassel and the late Emma Hendrickson. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Tuesday, March 25, 2024 at 9:15 am at St Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Rd, Drexel Hill,19026 and to her Funeral Mass 10:00 am in the Church. Burial SS.Peter & Paul Cemetery.
