Edward J Walters

Edward J. Walters, 71, of Glenolden, Pennsylvania went home to be with his Lord, peacefully on November 1, 2023.

Ed was the son of Edward "Bucky" and Rita (Coghlan) Walters of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He graduated from Bartram High School.

At the age of 19 he enlisted in the US Army. He served in the 82nd Airborne Division and received an honorable discharge. 

Ed loved watching the sunset and reading a good book. If he wasn't at a local library, you could find him enjoying lunch at Nick's Roast Beef or spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Ed loved his children Lindsay, Eddie, and Daniel Walters, and his daughter-in-law, Julianne.

He was a cherished grandfather "Pops" of Michael Thomas, Skyler Matthews, London Taylor, Joey, Angel, Aubrey, Mariah and Melanie Walters.

He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Janet (Jim) Cafferky and Karen (Jim) Chaya.

Edward was predeceased by his sister Dottie McClellan and pets, Tucker and Chooch.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life at his Visitation, Friday November 10, 2023 10am O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield PA 19064 and to his Funeral Service 11:30am in the Funeral Home. Burial Private.
