Edward Overton Obituary
Edward “Eddie” Overton of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. He was 86 years old.
Eddie, the son of the late Joe Matthews and Ella Jane, was born in Philadelphia and graduated from Northeast High School.
He was a beloved husband to Barbara; Loving father to Demaris and Vincent Gordon and E. Anthony and Abbie Overton; Cherished grandfather to five grandchildren Vincent, Brandon, Daniel, Kaelyn, and Anthony. Also survived by his sisters, Marlene and Janet. He is predeceased by his brothers Robert and Roosevelt. Eddie is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Friday January 2, 2026 10am at O'Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield PA 19064 and to his Memorial Service, Friday 11am in the Funeral Home.
