Edward Michael McGinley 83, of Broomall, PA passed away at his home on May 4, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late Edward McGinley and Hannah Boyce McGinley.
Ed was born in Darby, Pennsylvania and was a 1960 graduate of West Catholic Boys’ High School. He worked for American Airlines for over thirty years.
Ed was affectionally known to all of his nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews as Uncle Ed. His greatest joy was his family. He was a constant source of warmth, calm, and joy in their lives, always celebrating milestones, holidays and special moments together.
He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers sport fan. Quiet and independent man, he enjoyed his solitude whether he was completing a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle, tending to his yard, or watching westerns, crime & mystery shows.
Ed is survived by his sister; Sister Elisabeth de St Jean Baptiste, L.S.P. and four nieces Cathy (David) Flite, Mary Jo (John) Edelman, Julie (Robert) Moran and Gina (Jason) Staufenberg and many great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his late parents, Ed was preceded in death by his sister Julie and her husband Walter Missimo and his nephew Edward Missimo.
