Dorothy E. (Ernst) D'Arcy

Dorothy D’Arcy of Springfield passed away peacefully after a brief illness on September 28. She was 89.

Dorothy was the daughter of the late John and Bertha Ernst in Ridgewood New York. She graduated from Ridgewood High School and worked as a legal secretary for 9 years before becoming a mom to her three children.  She was married for 59 years to the love of her life.

She was blessed to have many life-long friends in New York, New Jersey and most recently in Pennsylvania. Dorothy loved her church where she was very involved and her many friends at St Matthew’s Lutheran. Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her husband Bill when he was alive, and most of all being with her family, who love her dearly.

Beloved wife of the late Bill; Loving Mother to daughter Carolyn (Greg) and sons Jim (Gina) and Bill (Lisa). Cherished Grandmother to Lauren (Eric), Madeleine (Chip), Stephen (Donatella), Olivia (Wil), Millie (Boomer), Kristen, Billy, Justin, Eric and Nick, along with three great-grandchildren – Hawks, Lucas and Leiselotte. Dorothy is survived by her sister Evelyn. She is also survived by three nephews and three nieces and their families. 

An interment at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, New Jersey, at a later date.
