Dolores R. Govannicci, 89, of Springfield, Pa passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025.
Dolores was the daughter of the late Giovanna and Salvatore Roberto and was born in Clifton Heights, Pa. She graduated from Clifton Heights High School. She was a member of St Francis of Assisi parish, women’s club, home and school and prayer group. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, summers in Brigantine and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked at Provident Bank, AAA Travel, Apple Vacations and started a family-owned business, Family Meat Market, with her husband, John. She is also remembered for her exceptional cooking skills/recipes used to feed her family and were also instrumental in the success of the family business.
Beloved wife of the late John A. Govannicci; loving mother to John J. (Linda) Govannicci, Nicholas P. (Marie) Govannicci, Mark S. (Dawn) Govannicci and James M. (Jennifer) Govannicci; Cherished Grandmother to 11 grandchildren; John M (Sara), Nicholas, Matthew (Emily), Alicia, Mark J., Paul (Nicole), Andrea, Jeffrey, James, Andrew and Jocelyn. Two great grandchildren; Gabrielle and Micah. She is predeceased by her son Michael Anthony, sister Mary Phillips and brother Vincent Roberto.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Wednesday, November 12, 2025 9:30am St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Ave. Springfield, PA 19064 and to her Funeral Mass 11:00am in the Church.
