Dennis Frances DeFino, Sr., 75, of East Norriton, PA, formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away on April 23, 2024.
Born in Briarcliffe, PA he was the son of the late Frances DeFino, Jr. and Theresa Madeline (née DeSanto) DeFino.
Dennis was a very talented musician and spent a good part of his younger years making music with his band and performing at local clubs. He was very proud of his band’s hit single from 1967, Frightened Little Girl. He was a lover of music and enjoyed listening to The Beatles, The Eagles, and The Doobie Brothers.
Dennis worked as a Finance Manager in the car business for over 45 years until he retired. He spent most of his career at Murry Dodge and Kia where he made lifelong friendships.
He was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, especially the Phillies and the Eagles. He watched almost every single Phillies game and was one of few people who would actually record them and rewatch. His dreams came true when he saw the Eagles win their first Super Bowl in 2017.
Every Thursday and Sunday morning at 8:06am, you would find Dennis teeing off at The Springfield Country Club unless he was venturing out to try another course with his golf buddies. Golf was one of his true passions in life that brought him great peace and happiness.
The most important in his life was his family. Dennis loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed going to their sporting events when he was able.
Dennis and his wife, Nancy, spent a wonderful 33 years of marriage together and built a loving blended family full of many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He adored his wife, who he lovingly called Nancy Rae.
He was loved so much by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Dennis was the loving husband of Nancy R. (née Bonsall) DeFino; beloved father of Dennis DeFino Jr. (Trish), Kenneth Brennan (Ashley), Kelly (née Brennan) Russo (Mike), Beth (née DeFino) Hamilton (Mike), and Alesia DeFino; adoring grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; dear brother of Debra (née DeFino) Burns (Bob).
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Thursday, May 2, 2024 10am, O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064, and to his Funeral Service, 11am in the Funeral Home. Burial Private.
