Deacon Robert J. Frankenberger, Sr.

Robert Frankenberger, 99 yrs old, of Springfield Del Co Pa passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025

Robert was the son of the late Parents John Frankenberger and Esther Sengstack Frankenberger in Whitemarsh Pa. Robert graduated from Murrell Dobbins Commercial Art and Music School in North Philadelphia, Ornstein School of Music in Philadelphia and St Joseph's University. He proudly served in the US Army Air Corp.in the late 1940's.

He was the Director of Graphic Arts and Production at American Packaging Co. in Philadelphia. Robert was also a Professional Soloist singing at various Churches as well performing major roles in Operas throughout the Country.        Robert is most recently known for being the Permanent Deacon at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Springfield. "Deacon Bob" as he was known, performed many Baptisms as well as teaching youth groups at Church.

Beloved husband of his late wife Julia  (Guazzelli) Frankenberger; Loving Father to Robert Jr. and his wife Anne Marie (Gale) Frankenberger. Cherished Grandfather of Eric F, Evan F and Beth Main with Great Grand Children Caris Frankenberger, Ashley, Austin and Brian Main. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and more.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday October 24, 2025 9:45am Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass, Friday 11am in the Church. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Contribution to Holy Cross Church, in Memory of Deacon Bob.
