David K. Wisely, Sr.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of David Kirk Wisely, Sr aka " Big Daddy" 61 of Wallingford, PA on April 14, 2026 after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, Poppy, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend—a man whose kindness, gentleness, and unwavering love touched everyone who knew him.
He was the sweetest and most devoted partner, a steady presence and a quiet strength. In every moment—whether in laughter, in hardship, or in the simple rhythm of everyday life—he led with compassion, patience, and grace. His love was constant and selfless, and it will continue to live on in the hearts of those he cherished most.
He found joy in the little things and gave freely of himself to others, always putting family first. To know him was to feel safe, supported, and deeply loved.
Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the time we shared and the memories we will carry with us always. His legacy is one of love, kindness, and gentleness—a life beautifully lived.

David was the son of Jack and Helen Wisely born in Philadelphia. He graduated from Highland Regional HS in Blackwood, NJ before moving to Clifton Heights 2 doors from the love of his life.

David was an avid lover of all sports but most importantly The Phillies, The Philadelphia Eagles and of course The Denver Broncos but The Eagles always came first. He spent his summers on the beach of Strathmere, NJ and at his Happy Place Echo Farms where he met lifetime friends who he called family.  David was known for hosting Friday night happy hours at Big Daddys Pub and  Bloody Mary Saturday mornings. He was always surrounded by people who loved to hang out with him.

Beloved husband of Theresa Wisely nee Ward, loving father of Alexandria Benson, ( Ryan) , Julianna Gill ( Nicholas ) cherished Poppy of Alanna, Ryan Jr. And Baby Girl Gill. Also survived by his siblings Donna Branney ( Jack ), Debbie Damico ( Jim ), Jack Wisely the late Toni Wisely, T.J. Wisely ( Dawn ) and The entire Ward family. David was predeceased by his parents Jack and Helen Wisely, his sister Cindy Moss and his dear son David Kirk Wisely Jr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Friday, April 17, 2026 9:00am St. John Chrysostom Church, 615 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford, PA 19086 and to his Funeral Mass 11:00am in the Church. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
