Daniel J. Dortone, age 58, of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025.
Dan was born on March 31, 1967, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, the cherished son of Donald J. Dortone Sr. and Priscilla A. McKeown. Dan graduated from Upper Darby High School in the Class of 1986 and had a tight circle of friends who were an important part of his life. Dan was a huge fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams, Eagles being his favorite. He loved being around people and animals, including his cat Rosie. Dan possessed a wonderful sense of humor, kind heart, and a gentle soul.
Above all, Dan was proud of his role as a father. His unwavering support and commitment to his daughter were hallmarks of his character. Friends and loved ones
will fondly remember him as someone who was always there to listen and lend a helping hand.
Dan leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his father, Donald Dortone Sr., his mother, Priscilla McKeown, his brothers Donald Dortone Jr. and Dean (Andrea) Dortone and daughter, Ashley Marie Dortone. Dan’s niece and nephew, Kaelee Dortone and Connor Dortone, were always in his thoughts. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, and cousins who will hold dear the memories they shared with him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Saturday, June 14, 2025 9:30am St. Philomena Church, 41 E. Baltimore Pike, Lansdowne, PA 19050, and to his Funeral Mass, Saturday 10:30am in the Church. Burial private.
