Charles J. McGlynn, III

Charles J. McGlynn, III, 69 of Havertown, PA passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024.

Charles was the son of the late Charles J. and Mary S. (Maguire) McGlynn, Jr. and was born in Drexel Hill, PA. He graduated from Upper Darby High School.

Beloved Husband of Mary J. (Doughty) McGlynn; Loving Father of Michele and Kristen McGlynn; Cherished Grandfather of Nicholas, Aubrey and Ace. Also survived by his sister Eileen D'Amico. He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Mary McGlynn and his sister Karen McGlynn before him. 

Charles lived a vibrant and active life, full of energy and joy. He was always on the move, whether working, running hills, biking, playing basketball or seeking out new adventures. Charles found great happiness in spending time down the shore at his trailer in Marmora, NJ, enjoying campfires, the beach, and playing guitar with friends and family. Charles was also a pool shooter and dart player, enjoying the thrill of the game and friendly competition, often gathering with friends and family to share in the fun and laughter. He was a true friend, always eager to gather with loved ones and celebrate life at reunions and get-togethers.

For 51 years, Charles owned his own agency as an independent insurance salesman, taking great pride in his work and helping his customers. He built lasting relationships throughout his career, known for his dedication and care.

Above all, Charles was a devoted Pop. He cherished every moment with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories through countless adventures together. His love for his family, his lively spirit, and his zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
