Charles F. Thomas, Jr. "Chuck" , 74, of Newtown Square, PA passed away peacefully on June 5, 2021.
Charles was the son of the late Charles F. Thomas, Sr. (Navy WWII / Korean War Era) and Florence E. (nee: Murray) Thomas and was born in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Murrell Dobbins Technical School where he studied Chemistry and later studied Chemical Engineering at Drexel University and Received a degree in Criminal Justice from Penn State University.
He was a Vietnam Era Navy Veteran where he served as a Corpsman / Combat Medic (1963-1966). He served as Volunteer Fire Fighter and was a Supervising Officer for the Clifton Heights Police Department (1968-1988) where he specialized as Photo Lab Technician, Criminal Investigator, PSE Lie Detector / Examiner, Weapons Training and Range Qualification Officer for the Department, He later served as Chief of Maritime Security at Tioga Terminal, Vice President Investigations at Tri-State Security Corporation and National Accounts Manager with Honeywell International while relocated in San Diego, CA for a portion of his professional career. He assisted in Founding Integrated Security & Communications and the development of the company as a National Electronic Security Integration firm prior to his retirement in 2014.
He was a Freemason and Member of St Alban Lodge #529 Philadelphia, PA. He was a member of many Veterans groups to include the Not-for-Profit Organization Rolling Thunder Chapter 2 NJ dedicated to the Support of Veterans and the Awareness of the POW/MIA issue. He enjoyed Travel, Boating, Hunting, Shooting, Fishing, Diving and loved to work on many projects with his hands.
Beloved husband of Kristen Michelle (Miller) Thomas; Father of Michael (Debbie) Thomas (Navy Cold War Era), Donna (Kevin) Klagholz, Denise (Jack) Campbell and Krystal Curry; Grandfather to Heather Thomas, Brian Thomas, Sean Campbell, Kayla Campbell, Aiden Campbell, JT (Justin) Klagholz, Nicholas Klagholz and McKenzie Curry. Great Granddaughter Lucia Thomas. Also survived by his siblings, Sr. Barbara Maureen O.S.F. "Betty", Barbara (Lyn Hedrick) Thomas. He is predeceased by his Sister Patricia "Patti" Thomas. He is also survived by many cousins and extended family.
