Charlene A. McHugh (nee Chandlee) 73 of Secane, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully at home on September 21st, 2025 surrounded by her family. Charlene was a vibrant presence to all that knew her.
Charlene was the daughter of the late Charles and Irene (nee Bushek) Chandlee and was born in Darby, PA. She graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School and got her masters degree from Rosemont College.
Charlene dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed the beach, the casino, and attending all her grandchildren’s events. She was an enthusiastic Eagles fan, found joy in Prime rib, and cherished the holidays with her family. Her family was her greatest treasure and spent her life nurturing and supporting them with unwavering love.
She is survived by her three children Stacey McCarthy (Kevin), Kim McHugh, and Richard McHugh (Miranda). She was a proud grandmother to her 8 grandchildren: Andy, Katelyn (Brett), Matthew, Christopher, Timothy, Meghan, Lauran, Regan and her three bonus grandchildren, Ashley, Robert, and Amber. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Brett and Blake. She leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews and friend. Her legacy of family and strength will be deeply missed by all of them.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents Charles Chandlee and Irene (Bushek), her grandson Charles “Andy” Bruhn, and her brothers William Chandlee (Sue) and Charles Chandlee (Bev).
Charlene will be remembered for her boundless love and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and all that had the privilege to know her.

Springfield, PA 19064 and Wednesday, October 1, 2025 9:30AM Church of St. Eugene, 200 S. Oak Ave, Primos, PA 19018. Funeral Mass following at 10:30 AM in the Church. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
