Catherine E. "Cathy" (Harkins) Schaab

Catherine E. "Cathy" (Harkins) Schaab, 85, of Clifton Heights, PA passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024.

Cathy was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Mealey) Harkins and was born in Darby, PA. She attended Saint Charles Elementary School in Drexel Hill and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan (Media). She was a life-long resident of Clifton Heights and always took pride in her hometown. She had a zest for life, was creative and always kept herself busy. She enjoyed music, dancing, baking cakes, fireworks, doing projects, knitting, sports, breakfast at the Olympic Diner, helping others and being outside. She walked anywhere she could and was seen around town daily.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Clifton Heights where she volunteered for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was always interested in what they were doing. They brought her tremendous joy. 

Cathy was a homemaker, hair dresser and machinist working 20 years for Litton Industries at Clifton Precision. 

Cathy was the Beloved Wife of the late Roy T. Schaab; Loving Mother of Tracey (Pat) Methven and Tanya (Ryan) Amanto; Cherished Grandmother/MomMom to Kyrsten, Ryan Jr, Kelley, Robert and Kasey and Great Grandmother to Ella and Harper. She is predeceased by her siblings James Harkins, Mary Ann Ryan, John (Jackie) Harkins, Edward (Scoop) Harkins and Helen Schick. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and more. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Sunday, September 15, 2024 5:00pm O'Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Road Springfield, PA 19064 and Monday morning 9:30am in the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Monday 10:30am Sacred Heart Church, 316 E. Broadway Ave. Clifton Heights, PA 19018. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
