Catherine A. “Cass” (Burns) Hay

Catherine A. “Cass” (Burns) Hay, 89, of Norwood, PA passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025.

Cass was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Caulfield) Burns and was born in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls.

She was a long-time member of St. Gabriel’s and St. Eugene’s Parishes and Choirs. She enjoyed spending time with Family and Friends. She was a fixture in the Norwood Community.  She also loved her time as a Nurse’s Aide at Interboro High School.

Beloved wife of the late James; Loving Mother to Brian, Catherine, James Daniel (Judy), Joseph (Kathleen), David (Lisanne), Meg (Tom), Matthew (Jessica), Patrick (Angela).; Cherished Grandmother to Shauna, Shannon, Lauren, Jacqueline, Michelle, Brian, Danielle, Sarah, Ceire, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Rosemary, Elizabeth, Emily, Max, Marin, and James. Also, Beloved Great Grandmother to Ayden, Jaxson, Shay, Charlotte, Scarlett, Susannah, Lincoln, Lee, Joe, Sean, Logan, Declan, and Robert. She is predeceased by her grandchildren, Steven and Daniel; her brothers Edward and Michael, her sisters, Elizabeth, Mary, and Bernadette.  She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and more.

Peter & Paul Cemetery.
