Carol (Bouchard) Ott passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025. Carol was born in Bridgeport, CT in 1937 to Lee and Estelle (McCabe) Bouchard before moving to Upper Darby. She attended St. Cyril’s School where she was honored to be the May Queen. She then went to West Catholic High Schoolfor Girls and graduated in 1955. She married her husband Phil in 1958 and spent 59 years together.
Carol raised her 6 children in East Lansdowne where she was a homemaker to a very active household. In 1981, she gained new life with the arrival of her 1st grandchild, with many to follow. She took great pride in being a member of the St. Cyril Choir and when she moved to Garnet Valley, she became a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle, Glen Mills choir.
Carol is survived by her daughter Joanne Magowan (Steve) of Beaufort, NC, son John (Joanne) of Media, son Michael of New Mexico, daughter Carol of North Pole, AK and son-in-law Edwin Winter, of Garnet Valley. She is also survived by her brother-in-law William (Mary) and Sister-in-law Dolores. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and her nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fillmore J. Ott, her brother Roy Bouchard, her son, Philip J. Ott, daughter Patricia A Winter, daughter Baby Ott, her granddaughter Anne Elizabeth Magowan, and her grandson Alexander Ott.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, July 8th 10:30am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road
Glen Mills, PA 19342 with burial to follow at St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol’s name to St. Jude’s Hospital of Children. Condolences can be sent to 40 Langstoon Lane, Media, PA 19063.
