Avelena B. (Adams) Dean

Avelena B. (Adams) Dean, 87, of Drexel Hill, PA passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025.

Avelena was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary A. (Dean) Adams and was born in Wilkes Barre, PA. She graduated from West Catholic High School.

She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Drexel Hill.  She worked at a DayCare in Drexel Hill and also worked as a Crossing Guard for many years.  She enjoyed spending time with Family & Friends and all she ever wanted was "a kind word".   

Beloved Wife of the late Daniel T. Dean Sr. for 60 years; Loving Mother of Patricia and the late Avelena and Daniel Dean Jr., Beloved Grandmother to Charles Dean & Great-Grandmother to Matthew Dailey, Dylan & Devon Dean. Also survived by her Brother William Adams Sr.  She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and more.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 9:30am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3422 Dennison Ave. Drexel Hill, PA 19026, and to her Funeral Mass, at 10:30am in the Church.  Int. at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield.
