Arlene M. Manfreda passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 31, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Dominic Manfreda and Carmella (Iannelli) Manfreda.
Beloved sister of Gloria Gilpin (Ed) and Mary Nespoli (Len). Arlene very much loved her nieces and nephews and their spouses; Eddie, Greg (Karen), Jennifer (Nate) and Matt (Elise) and her 7 grand nieces and nephews.
Arlene, and her sisters were born in South Philadelphia and moved to Ridley Park in the early 1950’s while their Dad build a new home for them on Lawnton Terrace, Glenolden. Arlene resided there until her Mom’s passing in 2007. After a brief stay in Swarthmore, Arlene became a resident in a Devereux home in Berwyn, until her passing.
From the early 60’s until her retirement, Arlene worked at the Elwyn, Inc Workshop in Lansdowne, making medals for our military. After her retirement, Arlene enjoyed attending senior day programs where she participated in a variety of activities especially her favorite, bingo. She also went on many trips to Disney World and Wildwood and day outings to local attractions.
Arlene had a gentle, kind and loving spirit and was loved in return by everyone who knew her. She enjoyed making people laugh and being the life of the party.
