Archibald (Art) King, 90, of Drexel Hill passed away peacefully on March 20, 2021.
Art was the son of the late William and Catherine King (nee Flynn). He was born in Philadelphia and proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Drexel Hill for over 60 years. Art worked for Bond Bread Baking Co. and the US Postal Service. He enjoyed his family and friends, he especially enjoyed playing wiffle ball with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed golf, bowling and playing the ponies. In his final days, he continued to watch golf whenever it was on.
Art was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Lou (nee McWilliams), son, William F. King and Grandson, William Bittner, Jr. He is also predeceased by sisters Kathryn Wenger, Frances Schmidt, Dorothy Boughman and brothers William, John and Daniel.
He is survived by his daughters, Michele Fili (Tom), Kathleen Carini, Rosemary Bittner (Bill) his grandchildren, Tommy, Tiffany, Courtney, Catherine, Rachel, Brian, Joey, Billy, and Steven. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Keates, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Saturday March 27, 2021 9:30 am Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 3422 Dennison Ave., Drexel Hill, PA 19026 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Int. SS Peter & Paul.
