Annie (Irvine) Carey

Annie Carey (nee Irvine), 73, of Springfield, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

Annie was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Irvine (nee Kelly) and was was born in Glasgow, Scotland.

Beloved wife of the late William Michael Carey Sr.; Loving mother to William (the late Tamara) Carey, Annette (Robert) Wingrove, Heather Carey, Christine (Timothy) Sees, and Maureen (William) Crawford; Cherished Granny to Rachel, T.J., Brenden, Ashley, Lauren, Helena and Adelynn. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She is predeceased by her brothers, the late Hugh and George and her sisters, the late Bette MacDonald, May Dick and Margaret Napier.

Annie came to Philadelphia at the age of 17, where she worked as a nanny until she met and married her husband of 49 years, Bill. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and loved them more than anything. Annie had a unique sense of humor and her empathy towards others made anyone who knew her, love her. She had many interests, loved being able to use her creativity and was exceptionally crafty.
