Anna Marie (Montanaro) Bader, 94, of Glenolden, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on June 24, 2021 at Springfield Rehabilitation Nursing Home while serenaded by a guitarist.
She was a loving, dedicated and generous mother, grandmother, sister, godmother, and aunt. She worked as a bookkeeper for over forty years for Lift Parts Manufacturing in Philadelphia, PA. Anna enjoyed following and watching the Phillies, Lawrence Welk, trips to the casinos, and family gatherings. She was known for her authentic, from-scratch pizzelles and escarole soup. Anna loved music and was an accomplished violinist, so it was fitting that a guitarist was soothing her at the time of her passing.
Anna was the daughter of the late Domenic and Mary (Salerno) Montanaro. She was born and raised in South Philadelphia in the Epiphany of Our Lord Parish. Anna graduated from Bok Vocational High School in 1945.
In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Croce, Angelina Biello, and her brother Frank Montanaro.
Anna is survived by her son, Carl and his wife Sharon, her sister and best friend Marie (Montanaro) Hershey, grandson Andrew Scott Bader, granddaughter Jacqueline Rose Bader, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish for fifty years.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on July 24, 2021 at 11:00AM Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1 Fatima Dr, Secane, PA 19018.
