Ann L. (Russell) Agnew

Ann Louise “Lois” (Russell) Agnew, age 91, of Media, PA passed away peacefully on April 13,2025.

Ann was born in Scranton Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Margaret and William Russell. She graduated from St. Hubert High School class of ’51. Her family moved from Scranton to Philadelphia in 1944 and she finished grade school at St. Dominic’s eventually settling in to St. Timothy’s parish where she was married to her husband of 65 years, Gerald Agnew on June 22,1957. The family originally lived in St. Dominic’s parish and finally settled and raised their family of six children in St. Matthew and St. Jerome parishes where she was active on the bowling team and in her volunteer work with Aid For Friends /Caring for Friends. She was dedicated to her Catholic faith and devoted to her family.

Beloved wife of the late Gerald M. Agnew; Loving Mother to Michael (Donna), Loisanne Fitzpatrick (Thomas), Thomas (Denise), Annemarie, Patricia Wagner (Edward) and William (Blanca); Cherished Grandmother to Michael (Kelly), Matthew (Sarah), Catherine (Matthew), Lauren (Patrick), Maura (Brett), Sean (Lotte), Ryan (Lauren), Conor (Madelyn), Dana, Jared, Hannarae, Zachary, Peter, Janel, Isabella, Gabriella, and Liam. Beloved Great-grandmother to Claire, Ruby, Molly, Kara Marie, Leo, George, William, Amelia, Matthew, Avery, Nora, James, and Paul. She is predeceased by her sisters Mary and Theresa and brothers Buddy, Jerry, and Edward.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Friday, April 25, 2025, 10:00am Nativity B.V.M. Church, 30 E. Franklin St., Media, PA 19063 and to her Funeral Mass Friday 11:00am in the Church. Int. Calvary Cemetery.
