Alfredo Procopio

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alfredo Procopio, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in South Philadelphia at the age of 89.

Born on March 24, 1936, in Isca Sullo Ionio, Italia, Alfredo married his beloved wife, Rosina (nee Commodari) Procopio, in 1962 in their hometown of Isca. In 1963, he journeyed to the United States by ship, where he and Rosina built a new life together in South Philadelphia and raised their three sons. They later moved to Springfield, Pennsylvania, where Alfredo lived for 35 plus years.

Alfredo worked tirelessly as a mason and became an entrepreneur through his dedication to his craft. He especially enjoyed summers in Wildwood Crest, where lasting memories were made with family and friends.

He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, deep devotion to family, and enduring love for Rosina. Alfredo leaves behind a legacy of strength, loyalty, and love.

Alfredo is the beloved husband to wife, Rosina (nee Commodari); Devoted father to Salvatore (Denise), Alfredo Jr. (Kristen) and late Pasquale; loving father-in-law to Linda; Cherished grandfather to Marc, Ally, Nicole, Nikolai, Michael, Catie, Alfredo, and Matteo.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday, July 8, 2025 9:30am St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Ave. Springfield, PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass Tuesday 11am in the Church. Ent. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
