Obituary
Alfred Murphy “Murph,” 79, of Drexel Hill and Upper Darby, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023 after a brief illness.
Al was the son of the late Alfred and Mary Murphy and was born in Philadelphia. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Prep and Pierce Junior College and enjoyed playing sports there and at St. Bernadette’s grade school. He enjoyed family, playing and watching sports, and travel.
He is survived by his siblings; Rosemary Connor and Steven Murphy. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, great nieces, great nephews, and their families, and by his very good friend Betty Spano.
