Albert Jacobini, 94 a resident of Drexel Hill, formerly of Clifton Heights, passed away on September 5, 2020. Albert was born in Philadelphia on May 28, 1926 to the late Alphonso and Angelina Jacobini.
Albert enjoyed going to the casinos, watching game shows, playing pinochle with his friends and PA Lottery scratch-offs. He loved following Philadelphia sports, especially the Eagles, Flyers and the Phillies. He was definitely a people person who loved to talk with anyone, even if he didn't know you!
Albert was drafted into the Army in 1947 where he was stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he was a medic. He found his work tending to malaria patients to be very rewarding in the hospital ward. One of his regrets was not seeking employment in the medical field. He later went to work at Westinghouse in Lester as a Lathe Operator and retired from there in 1984.
Albert was a longtime member of the Columbus Club in Clifton Heights since 1961. He was also the Assistant Trip Coordinator for the Holy Cross Seniors for many years and enjoyed traveling on various trips that were scheduled. He was a former parishioner of St. Eugene Church in Primos and more recently, St. Bernadette Church in Drexel Hill.
He is survived by the Love of his life, Rosetta (Caruso) Jacobini, who he was married to for 66 years; his three loving daughters, Angela (John) Szczepaniak, Annette (Enrique) Martinengo and Arlene McCauley, along with two grandchildren, Michael and Brianna. He was predeceased by his brother, Guerino "Bill" in 2019. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In respect of Albert's wishes and due to the COVID restrictions, Services and Burial will be private. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
