Agnes B. (Toner) O'Neill

Agnes B. O’Neill (nee Toner), a loving mother, devoted wife, and cherished aunt and friend, passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2026, joining her beloved husband, Thomas J. O’Neill, in eternal rest. She was deeply loved by all who knew her, and her gentle presence will be profoundly missed.

Agnes was the daughter of the late James Toner and Margaret Kelly and was born in Philadelphia.

She met the love of her life, Tom, while still in high school at St. Huberts Catholic School. The two married on September 8, 1962, and shared 54 beautiful years of partnership, laughter, and unwavering love until Tom’s passing. Nothing brought Agnes greater joy than spending time with Tom or their children. Family was truly the heart of her world.

Agnes spent nearly 30 years working at Acme Markets, where she was known for her direct, practical approach – she worked hard, spoke honestly and always got the job done.  

Agnes was a devout Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life. She especially loved saying the Rosary, finding comfort, strength, and peace in her daily prayers.

After Tom passed, Agnes continued to find joy in time spent with her children, trips to the casinos, dinners out, and the annual Mother’s Day outings that became new traditions she treasured.

Agnes is survived by her loving children: Gina Donovan (Maureen), Tommy O’Neill, Sue Halfen (Ralph), and Danny O’Neill (Melissa). She was the proud grandmother of Meghan, Jennifer (Pete), Eddie (Cori), Alex (Tom), Stephen (Brianna), Sean, and Ryan, and the adoring great-grandmother of Anthony, Sophia, Gabby, Deklan, Sloan, and Wyatt. Agnes is predeceased by her husband Tom and grandson Daniel. Her family was her heart, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and togetherness that will continue for generations.

Agnes will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, her gentle strength, her deep love for her family, and her steadfast faith. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM St. Gabriel Church, 233 Mohawk Avenue, Norwood, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in the Church.  Int. Private.
