Marc D. Sapovits

Marc David Sapovits of Rutledge, PA, age 54, passed away on November 24, 2019.

Marc was predeceased by his parents Morris 'Mac' Sapovits Jr. and Mildred (Congleton) Sapovits.

Marc was the beloved husband of Lisa (nee Ford); survived by stepchildren Bobby Haines (Lindsay), Jessica Kelly (Michael) and Stephen Haines; brother Rick Sapovits (Cindy) and sister Lynne Holdsworth; his uncle Richard Lawrance and Aunt Ann and Uncle Doug Reece, as well as multiple sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Marc had a way of making an impression wherever he went and he was known to start conversations with strangers who later became friends.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and was very kind and compassionate.  Marc was a lifetime member of the Garden City Fire Company in Wallingford, PA. He loved his friends and kept in touch with them the best he could.  He was a great cook who loved to experiment in the kitchen. Marc was a big Philadelphia sports fan and loved to follow the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, 76ers, and more recently the Philadelphia Union.  He loved music and singing to the radio, especially to his favorites Steely Dan and The Grateful Dead. Most of all, Marc enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and especially loved traveling with his wife to tropical destinations. Marc was a graduate of Nether Providence/Strath Haven High School. He loved his family, and his dog Carly and cat Enzo. We will all greatly miss him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Saturday, December 7, 2019 9:00 a.m. O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA  19064 and to his Funeral Service Saturday 11:00am in the Funeral Home. Burial Chester Rural Cemetery
